 Saturday, October 5, 2013 - Bowling Green, OH - Studio glamour and Portfolio building workshop - $25 INFO, RULES, PLEASE READ! Studio Glamour and Portfolio Building Workshop is the premiere photo-shoot for beginning and pro models alike. Studio shooting and tutoring in the fine art of posing in glamour images, and including beauty, fashion, and boudoir. The studio we rent is a "bohemian" style college studio in Bowling Green. The studio has adequate strobe lighting systems. A larger set will be at the white wall, and a medium set at the black wall. Photographers come prepared to utilize the lights in a "guerilla" fashion, making the best as to what is available, using your IQ to be satisfied with whatever set-up we can manage. Photographers are welcome to bring beauty, continuous, and speed lights. WHITE WALL - a large white fashion wall with strobes and a trigger. BLACK WALL - A large autodrop (black/maroon) with hotlights that are quite adequate. Photographers typically use ring lights, beauty dishes, or a secondary set of strobes for this area. Photogs and models shoot outside too in the alley. There is also a radiator, and a window box. PHOTOGRAPHERS Only 3 photographers will be selected. We tend to choose photographers that are the best fit for our GLAM events. If you are selected to attend the event, you are more than an attendee, you are a teacher. And the photographers at the event do need to follow a couple simple rules. 1. Photographers are required to edit at least 2 images per model look and email posting size images to the attending models. 2. Photographers need to stay in contact/communication with myself and attendees before and after the shoot. Photographers that are unable to comply with these simple rules, please do not apply. The rules were put in place to avert photographers signing in on a whim and then vanishing, with no real intention of attending. And our biggest problem we have is photographers that attend, but do not send models a single finished image. MODELS The event is a good natured experience, meant to give new models an exciting studio event, and seasoned models and photographers networking, and industry contacts. MUA/STYLIST We always strive for a make-up artist and stylist. We ask attendees to respect their hard labor and tip them whenever possible. The event does NOT guarantee MUA/STYLIST will make any money. Although with each new event, the MUA/STYLIST has made more and more. The event is about exposure and networking. Make-up artists have the right to ask models for a donation, and to "favor" those with cash, ahead of those who are "cashless". MUAs and STYLISTS seeking a buck are on their own in how they choose to collect. MUAS and STYLISTS are the only attendees that do not pay to get into the event. VIDEO PRODUCTION A video promo will be made at the event, including the names of all the attendees. The video can be used by the attendees to advertise themselves.
