...and according to their shipping Alaska and Hawaii are no longer part of the U.S. as customs must be involved because they only ship inside the U.S. and not international.

Sounds a tad dodgy, no?

Warranty on ebay sales can also be sketchy. Been there done that. hmm

Margin on Nikon cameras is really low.

Any price under The major guys like B&H is suspect.

I have heard the margin is low as 13%

price of factory refurb is not that low  ($1048)

Check out their feedback.

I have a feeling you're going to end up in one of the following scenarios:

- You will receive something other than factory sealed (new) most likely a USED refurb.

- You will wait a long time for nothing to arrive and then go through the whole song dance with ebay.

- You will buy it and a few days later you'll get a up sell offer because they no longer have any more stock due to a 'shipping error'.

- You get your money refunded with no explanation why.

Better to buy a used rehabbed Nikon D7000 than a good 'buy' from E-Bay.

The other scam is

No battery, no strap, no instruction book, no US warrantee (serial number does not start with a 3), no cables.

Oh and by the way you have to buy all of these or no deal.

The feedback rating is effectively only 97% if you include the "neutrals", which is way lower than I would be happy to deal with.  With an expensive item like this camera body, I would want feedback north of 99.7%.

Even the grey marketers are not getting as low as this offering, so it seems distinctly fishy.

For the record, they have almost a 99% positive feedback.  I read some of the complaints, and many of them just seem like honest mistakes or inappropriate expectations by the client.

I don't think they are an authorized dealer though.
