Question about insurance: What kind of coverage that you get (general liability, professional, etc.) and with which company?

We do work both at our studio and events at client's venue. So far, talking with various insurance companies, they don't seem to have a body painter category.

I like Vendors of the US, but not sure if they cover your studio as well.

They deal in other special cases and have always been inexpensive and friendly for me.

If you talk to Stephanie, tell her Rich with The People Painters said hello!

I also carry Vendors of the US.

NOTE: Rich and I are bodypainters who do a fair amount of Event Work. Have a specific conversation with the Insurer about the scope of your Clientele...

At the moment, I don't have any insurance. But I'd like to get public liability, mostly for facepainting. Sometimes I'm just in a crowded stall and worry someone might bump my paintbrush and poke the child's eye or something! Other than that, I haven't felt the need to be insured.
