i don't know if i'm writing in the right bit by the way lol, this is my first forum post..

my friend lauren and i are starting a website together for makeup and hair (bridal, special occasion, photoshoots, everything really)

she does hair styling, and i do makeup.

when i did makeup on my own i just used my name as i thought it was more professional but now we are working together does anyone have any advice on a website/ business name please?

wasn't sure if 'lauren and kelly' sounded like a porn site lol or if 'lauren and kelly hair and makeup' was too long.. then i thought maybe 'bucks hair and makeup' but as we are on the edge of the county, some towns like thame or tring (not in bucks) which is 3 miles away might think it doesn't include them.
Lauren thought maybe 'flawless finishes' ? but i'm not sure.

is it better to have our names in, or 'hair and makeup' in? or neither?

thanks!

Maybe both your last names?

I like the idea of knowing what a business does/covers when I hear the name, and something short and memorable helps also.

If you're doing a bit of everything though.... It could make it harder to find a name that covers everything under one umbrella smile

Good luck, post what you decide to go with big_smile

I love the sound of both your names together.  What if you did "Hair and Makeup by Lauren Kelly".  It's strong.  Then on the home page of your site you have a photo of each of you with your name under it.  That way people will know your two people.  With your full name have a short Bio or statement.  Then do the we are a team working together for you bla bla bla Maybe an image of you both working on the same person at the same time.  Shows your stronger together.  Let us know when you decide!  R-

Good one. Or, you could do the Hollywood hybrid name thing: Kelaur/Laurkell. K-Lo?
