Any recommendations as to who to go to on this? How much would you insure your kit for?

Help a newbie out with advice here please?

Go to an insurance broker and they will assist you with value of your kit,and probably "public liability"cover. My daughter is a broker, and this was her advise.   D

Telephone the broker first, before you visit to ask. Most brokers will be able to do your public liability, but your kit may need specialist knowledge.I have spoken to 4 MUA'S local to me,and none insure there kit,but all have public liability with local brokers.   D

Ah thank you for the advice, I wasn't sure if insuring your kit was the done thing to do or if people might put it on their house insurance? It's a lot of money to have to replace it should something unthinkable happen to it, though obviously public liability is the most important! smile
