What do you think of this and it's still in beta mode. Looks promising from the vid. Only for Mac users atm.

You've to fill in yr email and they send you the download link. Unfortunately I use windows so can't  use it. Have to wait for that to be out.

Downloaded the demo & it looks promising.
Frequency Separation is built-in as a filter, with a very clever fullscreen preview of the low & high frequency split. Layer blending modes are also more intuitive than Photoshop, with a "live preview" of what a blending mode would look like.

Compared to Photoshop: Within 5min of playing around, I noticed some nice features interesting for retouchers, which Adobe could long ago have added to Photoshop.

Keep in mind that this is Serif Software.  For those not familiar with the company, their software is fine if you can't afford anything better.
I used a few of their packages when I was 20.
