More Vivid RAW photos?
Is there a way to make your photographs more vivid using lighting? in camera settings w/ out processing? I know you can simply change the jpeg settings to vivid and this works but those settings will then not apply to the raw file. Or do you just have to do this post process? Just curious. Feb 18 15 11:51 am Link i solved the problem by shooting jpeg rather than raw. i like the way my 5D MK II makes jpegs. in some raw converters you can specify default settings to apply upon import. or you punch up the images manually (or as a batch) or look to third-party products (like macphun on the mac side) for adding some zip. but depending on the image it may indeed need some added zip. not just saturation but also sharpness/detail. Lenses also contribute to contrast and saturation, however most modern lenses are pretty good in this regard, although some are still better than others. Having said that, you'll more than likely always have to "develop" a raw file. That's the whole purpose of shooting raw. If you don't wish to do that, don't shoot raw.
