Just updated my port with images from my first REAL shoot! Let me know what you think Apr 10 15 03:29 pm Link The photos do a good job of showing your ability as a model, but do not reflect too well on the photographer because the photoshopping is rather heavy-handed in several of the photos. Apr 10 15 04:30 pm Link The first three are really nice. Your work in the others is fine, but the photographer over-did the manipulations. We need to see what you really look like in your portfolio, as well as how well you can model. Apr 10 15 04:57 pm Link Welcome to the mayhem and congrats on your first "real" shoot. I think you are off to a great start. My advice is to focus working with photogrhers who have good portfolios and will likely improve upon what you already have. I'd get rid of that last image in white. Apr 10 15 05:15 pm Link I like them. I think you look great and they show you well. Congratulations on a very successful first shoot. Apr 11 15 09:57 am Link GREAT START! Work with this photog some more. I like the soft focus and disagree about it being overcooked. These are all classic nudes/implieds. Do more. (And give me a heads-up of you're ever in the SF area.) Apr 11 15 04:19 pm Link Not enough there to really comment. But you have potential!. Work on your body energy.; you don't want to be photographed as if you're just sitting or standing there to be photographed. Send energy into the camera. Strong posture. No parallels between your hips and shoulders. All he basics. Apr 11 15 04:36 pm Link Britt_Nicole wrote: Well they are not to my taste photographically way to soft and almost out of focus. There are about 3 good images the rest I would pitch. Apr 11 15 04:59 pm Link Here is what I think. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38337144 The effects are a little much but not terrible. However, that pose isn't working for you in my opinion because it makes one side of you look bulky (your left side). One leg is up and then the other is hidden under a ton of white which is bunched up from the waist down and making things look wider. I don't think that's a flattering look. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38337143 This one is photoshopped a bit better, it still has issues though. The way this was shot is making your head look a little tiny in comparison to your body. The photographer should've gotten up high enough to counter that. However, you still look great. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38337140 The pose is too stiff and awkward and it makes your upper half look longer than your lower half. It also makes you back look totally flat because of the wall. It's all very linear, even your arm is straight down. The white is also too blown out for me. It just doesn't work, again, in my opinion. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38337138 I like the other one of this in black and white and with you looking at the camera. I feel like this one is less successful than the other one. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38336853 It's ok, a tad overdone, but you look good. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/38337146 This one doesn't work for me either. I think your face shows that you are not comfortable. Your hand positioning over your stomach also makes it look like you are self-conscious of something. The lighting is pretty drastic and washes you out too much. The angle would have been nicer if the photographer had gotten up on something. So overall you are actually doing a lot of good things. Most of my issues here are with the photographer because I feel like they didn't know how to really highlight you and what you have to offer. I also think the heavy photoshop stuff sort of took away from the images and makes them look of low quality. Anyway, to me you are off to a great start, you just need to keep working at it and be more selective if you can when it comes to photographers. Cherry Hill is right next to Philly so I'm sure you can find some great people there to shoot with. Apr 11 15 05:13 pm Link To all asking about copyright of the Photographer. He wishes to remain anonymous. (Its complicated but understandable) Apr 11 15 05:42 pm Link I think it's a heck of a good start - you seem to have a good camera presence - and that soft "foggilizer" style is very vintage for some of us. Even, if there are those that don't like it. Apr 12 15 10:17 am Link #1 I would like this one much better if it were cropped below the window, in at the sides and up from the bottom to make you a larger proportion in the frame. It's a lovely pose, you do it well, but for some reason your foot looks strangely large. #2 Again a major crop is called for to get you to be the right size in the photo. You are lovely here but there's too much around you to appreciate it. A nice pose. Shows your proportions well. #3 Major cropping of the top, bottom and sides would be better for your portfolio. I'm beginning to want more expression at this point. #4 Quite lovely. Your right hand is perfect. Your left hand is almost fist-like. Watch knuckles towards camera. #5 Too blurry and dark on your face for your portfolio use. Lovely pose. https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 14e4ee.jpg #6 This is wonderful. Not because you're bare on top, but because you are beautifully lit. your pose is dynamic, your face practically glows (a teensh too much processing) and you have expression. It's like someone finally turned on the lights in the room and in you. Beautifully done. Bravo to the both of you. https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 91fd2a.jpg Where to go from here? Do more shoots with this photographer, impressin upon him that you need to be a larger part of the picture for YOUR portfolio. More expressions, and practice posing in front of the mirror to see how your body parts look in various position. Shoot with more photographers for different styles. Excellent start here. Good luck and have fun!. Apr 12 15 05:48 pm Link Well, I certainly like the model choice . . .
