May 23 15 05:52 am Link OP you can't go by paintings painted thousands of years after Adam & Eve supposedly lived. You have to go by a book written thousands of years after they supposedly lived. May 23 15 08:29 pm Link what I always find is a bit interesting...is atheists laugh at notions of a virgin birth...ie the notion life can be created inside the body of a woman without the intercession of an outside living source putting it in there....yet they reverse this common sense regarding life coming into the universe and say...it just happened on its own steam. well hello virgin birth account. May 24 15 06:16 am Link Science and religion are intended to answer different questions. Religion tries to explain why, science tries to explain how. I believe DNA evidence supports the notion of an ancient Eve from which all modern humans sprang. It troubles me not at all that prior to Adam and Eve there were creatures looking a lot like us and that evolution may have been the tool to create the first "humans" (and why they would have a belly button). The devil is in the details on defining exactly what a human is and what made Adam and Eve different from the other creatures of their day. Over the centuries we have continually made the mistake of trying to answer scientific questions with religion and religious questions with science. May 24 15 06:54 am Link |
