Skintone technique with complementary shadows color
Hi Guys, I've see this tutorial http://www.lightstalking.com/how-to-giv … photoshop/ about cinematic effect. I wish ask more info about the skin color part where Dzvonko Petrovski talk about color skin complementing color. I've try to find complementary color for the shadow with a my pic. I took the color from the model skin middle tone face(R: 215, G: 164, B: 144) , after I've find the complementary color with https://color.adobe.com (R: 144, G: 215, B: 203). I've apply a curve with mask (luminosity mask technique) for the shadows to apply only into the shadows the complementary color of the skin. How Can I not dropped the skin tone with complementary color? Maybe I need a different blending mode for the curve level? Any new info about this technique? thanks w. If you learn all camera raw tools, you can create that effect very easy from several clicks, also keep in mind that sometimes the result cannot be identical if the quality/texture/light/contrast are very different.
