Hi, I just had a photo shoot with a male model yesterday. We went to Sausalito City to do the photo shoot. We did it during mid day from 11 am to 2 pm. It was my first time to use flash out door as well, as I like more natural light. I decided to use flash to fill the shadow on his face and experiment with flash. I would like to know how I did on my first shoot. Your critique would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Have a great day!

Other then the crop an interesting image, for me the crop of left hand and right foot are the show stoppers.
You caught my attention with this photo because I am trying to figure out what he is doing

Light areas distract the viewers eyes, in this case you have a part of his legs showing, I would think a stronger crop would be to crop off the lower part so only his shorts are visible. Also another distraction is the bright watch. Solid clothing of one color is less distracting, the print on his shorts is distracting, plus the different color of the base blue of shirt and pants and that the flamingos are not the same on shirt and pants.
Shirt looks crumpled around his stomach area.

Watch your backgrounds, looks like something is growing out of the top of his hat.
[This is my top pick of the set]

Pose seems off, plus you cut tip of models left toes off
This is what I would call a busy background, if you can put the background out of focus it would be less distracting.

I wish you well
