I seem to be having trouble making the first connection.  I am new to MM and to working with Models in general.  I really want to work on more artistic stuff, I have been working events, portraits, etc.  I am huge fan of Aaron Nace, and want to create images with a similar style.

Any advice on how to connect, what to say in the message, and what not to say.

Its often hard getting started, but I would suggest you try checking the local casting calls. Also create one yourself.

Also, search local models and contact those you would like to work with.

In addition, check out the Photography Talk section, of the Industry Forums, as you might find some helpful advice in there.

The main thing is don't give up, its like starting a ball rolling, once its started, it will speed up!
