Certain outfits don't go well with bras because of the see-thru fabric and open back. The thin fabrics and no bra padding call for nipple coverage. I've used pasties but they tend to show the shape or mark on the fabric like the flowers shape of the pastie. I read silicone sometimes marks circles on tight clothing.

I'm looking for suggestions on tape pasties that leave no mark and cover the nipple area enough. Prefer, the ones that lift the bust.

I was looking at this one:

These are all the rage with bodypainters right now. I have not had the chance to try them yet myself. They seem to be like a 3D temporary tattoo sort of product.

Another option we use sometimes is to take a wide flesh colored medical tape and simply cut a circle JUST bigger than the actual nipple. When put into place the silhouette (if any) is at least a natural size and not looking like a flower petal or star.

As you have already discovered:
General retail silicone pasties will have an raised edge that can when wearing sheer fabric.
Fabric pasties tend to be very stiff and can "pancake" the nipple and areola - showing up as a raised, flat circle.
Petal shaped fabric pasties are thinner, but again, there can be an edge.

As a general rule, all edges will be far more pronounced if the model gets cold as skin tends to shrink causing puckering.

Push ups may be a good choice depending on the wardrobe.

If seams and edges are of paramount importance, I second the use of medical grade paper tape. Only, I suggest tearing the patch and layering a couple of pieces. The torn edge will blend into the skin better than a cut edge.

If the model has body piercings that can't be removed, then the medical grade paper tape can be used to tape down the jewelry, then the pastie applied.

In my kit, I keep a small roll of the pads used for make-up removal.  They're really versatile, many uses at a shoot.  While shooting a young lady's high school pics, it was very evident that she was a bit cold.  Thankfully, it was her mom escorting her that day (cardinal rule - parent on set for all less than 18 year old models)  I took mom aside, explained the situation, showed her some of the pics and explained how the daughter could avoid this situation - simply place a pad over each nipple.  Some months later I received a callback to shoot some pre-prom pics for this same young lady and was able to turn it into a semi studio event at their home for about 10 other young women as well.  Most of the gowns were off the shoulder and bras weren't an option.  Good to her credit, mom was again on hand, this time with a roll of the pads in hand, taking a few of the girls aside to explain the "fix".  I was able to get great pics with no pad edges visible in them and the young women were able to avoid the discomfort that can come from tape across one's nipples.

Just a suggestion.  Hope it helps.

What a great story.
Congrats on demonstrating an abundance of tact, respect and true MacGyver spirit.

Thanks for the compliment, Lisa.  I really try to be the best possible person to everyone regardless of what's being projected my way.  My mentor once or twice referred to it as professionalism.  Wish we had a bit more of it these days.

Useful responses. What about for push-up when the straps cannot show because of open back and neck area?

Bed Bath and Beyond (surprisingly) has a Pastie  called "Petal Tops" for about $4 for three pair. Good adhesive, but has a bandage type gauze in the center which I pull off to get a smooth look. Just big enough, works well, color is a lite skin.

I'd like to know as well. Those pasty things can get pricey.. What the hell? I saw some adhesive tape at the first aid section of the drug store, they stretch. And I think they are a brown beigey color. Anybody try that?

Monster pasties are the sheeeeznit Rich!! Best pasties I've used so far. No outline or funny looking flower design.
