Jules NYC wrote: Yep I posted that early in the discussion....not sure if you are an actual fan of kevin smith but the guy can tell a story! Apr 24 16 07:45 pm Link We just checked out the most recent episode of SNL on Hulu, and it's so awesome: a generous selection of Prince's appearances on the show as musical guest, plus several installments of the Fred Armisen/Maya Rudolph recurring skit "The Prince Show featuring Beyonce". Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, with a never-before-seen bit from the 40th anniversary show afterparty where Prince plays a slow-jam version of "Let's Go Crazy". Nicely done, guys. Apr 24 16 10:03 pm Link Apr 25 16 12:09 am Link People have apparently been quite busy uploading Prince music, and it appears that the usual take-down notices are either not forthcoming, or are being ignored by YT. So now a proper overview of his legacy can begin: 1999 Raspberry Beret Delirious Take Me With U Pop Life Let's Go Crazy I Would Die 4 U Baby I'm A Star The Beautiful Ones I Wanna Be Your Lover Paisley Park Kiss Do Me Baby Dirty Mind (live) Controversy Gett Off Darling Nikki (live) Computer Blue When Doves Cry Little Red Corvette (live) Purple Rain (live, 19+ minute version!) Apr 25 16 05:38 am Link Apr 25 16 06:45 am Link The loss of Prince may well be the greatest loss the music World has ever suffered. Apr 25 16 11:00 am Link This right here... a partial The Revolution reunion (Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman), plus Sheila E., live at the '06 Brit Awards. DAMN. The band was practically hidden behind him. Prince performed non-stop for three hours and never stopped singing. He also never said a word to the audience,” says Caccese who was 25 at the time. http://variety.com/2016/music/news/prin … 201758894/ No talking... all action. Apr 25 16 06:55 pm Link hard to believe what the newspapers said......it said that in the famous prince "vault"...he has enough songs in there to fill ...26...albums. and not only that....according to the kevin smith video...prince has almost 60...videos of songs nobody has ever heard. full production videos...with costumes and plots and all that. it makes what michael jackson left behind seem anemic. Apr 25 16 06:59 pm Link Apr 26 16 02:56 am Link Perhaps not really unexpected -- "I'd been working with Prince's team for months to find a way in Minneapolis to honor Prince in a way that he would appreciate and deserve," said Mayor Betsy Hodges. http://www.nationalenquirer.com/photos/ … to/156008/ - more -- long term illness http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article … l-him.html Apr 27 16 11:12 pm Link I know Soapbox is closed but again, I believe in religious freedom and I believe in freedom of speech. Personally, the Jehovah's Witness religion is the stupidest religion I've ever studied. All of their beliefs stomp out all traditions and celebratory moments that are supposed to give people joy. It's great for lost souls, recovering or current alcoholics/drug-users and people that have lived a life they feel they need repentance for. Hey, there's always just being a Christian (same concept, less restrictions). How about figuring out what's right for you without a guidebook? Are people really that confused about what to believe in? Wow. Whatever gave comfort for Prince I'm good with that, but truly surprised he took up this religion. As for all the sex he's had with x amount of people, I don't judge. I wasn't dating him. If you want to live that kind of lifestyle, right on, but just know that this HIV & AIDS thing isn't going away anytime soon. As an adult, you have the freedom to make your own choices/decisions. That is what freedom is all about. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/d … ransfusion Apr 28 16 03:43 am Link http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/27/entertain … edication/ Well.... just another one bites the dust. It is not a totally surprise to me. Having a great talent does not exempt you from harm of the drugs (legal or illegal) What a shame!!! I am sure more celebrities will follow. I wonder it must be very difficult and lonely when one is at the top that drugs are the only things that can depend on. With all the money and party friends the celebrities have, they can't help themselves. I wonder if the fame and fortune is a curse. So damn rewarding to see so many miss him so much... Remember that scene when he left the building-- thinking no one appreciated him or his music... Then hearing the cheers and ovations as the fans begged him to come back one more time... Everyone just wanting to touch him as he came back for his encore... Feels that way to many of us now... Wish he could come back for his encore... Love you, Man, forever... Bruce Lee with a guitar... Apr 28 16 08:12 pm Link DEP E510 wrote: Yes, sir. No doubt about that.
