Hi there,

I had a new shoot last week and wanted to know what people thought of the photo in my port titled "In the red"? Be glad to hear some feedback.

Thanks,

Andie

You look great. I think your hands are too dominant a part of the image. I wonder whether the image would be better if the photographer had modified the lighting a bit to keep the lower half of the image darker and keep the emphasis on your face. I love the colors and love how you jump out from the background.

Proportions seem off, that is if you look at your right forearm compared to your left they appear to not be the same size. One of the reasons this can happen if too wide a lens is used, which might also be the reason your hands appear larger than life.
Your forehead seems to have lost detail due to lighting used.
Remember to place your body on an angle to the camera as you have done in the next photo

Of these two photos the last one is my favorite.

I wish you well

Andie, I agree that your arms and hands are too dominant. This photo should probably be cropped somewhere around the bustline. Remember, you don't want to show the back and palms of your hands. Mary Duprie has a great video about hands, check out her other videos also.
