I had the honor to work with friend of mine for a night shoot. He does great work. The way he works with lighting and his compositions are awesome. Sadly I feel like I didn't meet him where he was at with the photo listed above.
He is happy enough to share it but I think my face just sucks.
Opinions needed.
Do I share it out on social or hide it in my personal collection as a "almost but nope."
I would say give his page a follow BUT we are in a insta followers friendly competition SO...maybe like it so he will give me another chance to shoot better set?

I wouldn't call the image trash. He caught you in a bit of an odd expression, and the expression doesn't seem to convey any mood that would be relevant to the rest of the image. Personally, I don't care for the framing or the lighting on this image. I think I would have moved you to the right and cropped a bit more on the right. I would have tried to get a different lighting on your face. I hope you get to shoot again and get a better result.
