i have a color munki display and i want to get accurate cool on my 2014 retina......dont know if i want to use the external dell s2340 to edit with.......do i match my lab prints w monitor or adjust settings on calibrator

You should also make a calibration for each different type of paper that you use on your printer.

for prints I find most labs tweak things because they are trying to help out the photographers.  I would check with the lab what they recommend.  I usually just make samples on my inkjet and the lab makes adjustments as necessary.  I do some backlighting and I tend to shoot a little dark so I am glad the labs I use have gotten used to my style and help me out. 

If you print enough, they will get to know you as well.
