About MeI'm an artist and photographer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I started out my photographic journey around 1990 and for more than 20 years my passion has been creating photographs that define the moment in time.
I attended The Milwaukee Institute Of Art & Design from 1995-1998 and learned about photography from local master photographers J. Shimon & J. Lindemann, Robert Smith & Al Balinsky, and received critical input from Walter Sheffer, Tom Bamberger, Francis Ford & Larry Chatman. I started my career learning photography the old fashioned way, shooting film and printing in both black and white and color darkrooms.
I finished my BA degree in Art at The Peck School Of The Arts at UW-Milwaukee where I had the pleasure of learning under the direction of Steven D. Foster & Paul Amitai. I also have a minor in Political Science.
I'm mostly known these days for my concert photography. I publish often. My work can be found such places as Examiner.com, Tara McLeod of Kittie's profile photo at PRS Guitars, PRS Guitars Signature Magazine, OnMilwaukee.com, and Former Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir & Ratdog's official website. I worked from 2004-2006 for The Shepherd Express covering Milwaukee area concerts and I found myself in the photo pits of just about every venue the city has to offer. My current job for Examiner.com keeps me extremely busy covering local events as the Milwaukee Concert Photography Examiner and the National Performing Arts Examiner. I'm privileged to photograph some of the biggest names in the music industry on a regular basis.
I've photographed some of the most famous musicians in modern music, including Taylor Swift, B.B. King, Maria Brink, Amy Lee, Taylor Momsen, Carrie Underwood, Gavin Rossdale, Morgan Lander, Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, Jewel, Kenny Rogers, and Sarah McLachlan, just to name a few.
