Mayhem # 2589038
About MeI am a songstress/actress/model based out of Seattle, Washington. I have spent my entire life pursuing performance art. I am a college educated, professional performance artist, and I have come to enjoy immersing myself in many medias.
My first true love is music. I've been writing and performing my own songs since I was just a little girl. Straight out of high school I was awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, as a vocal principle and songwriting major. I studied there for two academic years, which enabled me to complete my core music training. I learned a lot about music and myself, and in turn grew tremendously as a musician and performer.
I completed my degree at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. There I studied music and anthropology, which led me directly into the discipline of ethnomusicology.
While my personal artistic focus has always been in creating original music; I feel at home on any stage or platform for performance art. As a youngster I modeled in a handful of fashion shows. I grew up in the theater. I have spent several years of my life studying theater, and training as an actress. I have a long list of plays and musicals on my resume, that has grown pretty consistently from 1995 all the way through the last play I did at the end of 2012. By now I have also gained experience acting for film on independent movie projects. Not to mention, I have AT LEAST twenty solid years of experience "playing dress-up!" ;)
Most recently I produced, wardrobed and was the featured artist of my first ever music video for one of my original songs, "Yes!" (You can search Katelyn Berreth on YouTube if you're interested in viewing the official "Yes!" music video).
I have been digging deeper into modeling for photographers over the past couple of years. I love to be involved the process of making art, so I've found modeling to be an extremely rewarding field. Whether the shoot is spontaneous or specific, I find a lot of enjoyment in the collaboration between photographer and model. Thus, I finally decided to post my model mayhem account.
I am a small, skinny but curvy girl. I have two tattoos. One is a small, but life-sized butterfly on my left forearm. The colors are neutral and natural. The other is on the right side of my back. This second tattoo is a fairly large mermaid. The colors of this tattoo are soft, washy and natural as well. I have a nose piercing that is VERY modest on the left side of my nose.
I shoot glamour, art, and fashion nudes. I do not do porn. Understandably, definitions can vary, and sometimes that line can be quite thin. I will consider any offer placed on my table, but I will always draw the line at anything that is explicitly pornographic.
I have very long hair. It is long enough for the ends to touch the top of my belly button. The color is kind of medium to light brown that is comparable to the color of milk chocolate. There are pieces of blonde and red that come out in certain lighting; and certainly more of that with exposure to the summer sun.
My eyes are blue. In some outfits and surroundings they can appear to have green in them too. Most days, the color is best described as a pure medium blue.
I am a professional, and I take this job seriously. I mostly only do compensated photo shoots. I do have set rates, but am willing to negotiate for the right project.
I am open to working with creative people who are seeking to hire a talented artist. I am creative, communicative, expressive, personable, experienced in many realms of performance art, reliable and ebullient.
Please message me here on MM if you are interested in setting up a collaboration.
