About Me

**Recently sent out a who mess of new friend requests. I'm casting for several projects at the moment and am trying to get everyone I would like to work with at some point on my friends list, so please accept!**

I’m Matt. I tried to write a serious bio in the third person and failed miserably, so here is my not serious at all first person bio!

Incidentally, since it makes me physically ill to write about myself, this is the same biography you will find on almost all descriptions of me.

I started my career in photography in the womb. I remember telepathically telling my mother to construct images following the rule of thirds ...

Ok seriously; I started shooting pictures at 13 years old. I liked photographing vacations and with family and friends and was kind of the family photographer when we went on trips (which means the trips were horribly documented). I wandered around for forty seven thousand years trying to figure out if I wanted to be President of the United States or a doctor or Iron Man and eventually decided that I wanted to pursue a career as a photographer and artist. I was lucky enough to have been bored in some of my previous jobs and follow around some truly great photographic artists (you guys know who you are, and thank you SO much) as intern and assistant. This led me to believe I was much better than I actually was and I took some tragically bad images for several years. After that, I took some halfway decent images. That's pretty much where I am now.

I’ve been furthering my education as an artist and photographer for a while and am attempting to be somewhat legitimate by completing a degree at an actual art school.

I specialize in portraiture and aim predominately at trying to bring sexy back (thanks JT). Most people associate the word ‘pinup’ with the mid 20th century style, but to me that is retro pinup and by definition pinup is an image of an insanely pretty person that should be hung on a wall. In any case, I love it all. Photographing the human form be it a beautiful face, body or scantily clad person is a challenge and a thrill I will never get enough of.

My style might seem a little left of normal at first, and I admit that I shoot some things that some people might find offensive. However, if art is what you make it, then everyone will always find something to be offended about.

I think that an image can speak more than a thousand words. I think an image can capture our soul and share it with someone else. I think an image is everything you make it.

I also think that cheesecake is awesome.

And I still want to be Iron Man.
