About Me

Kevin Meredith is not what most people would consider to be an average photographer. Armed with a selection of compact film cameras, he never leaves the house without one and is always ready to paint the world in supersaturated color, using vibrant film which is no longer manufactured, luckily he has a stockpile. This does not mean he can't go high tech when the need arises, he also uses 21st century digital technology. Kevin is interested in a range of subjects from ravers wellies, the bright wellies / galoshes that girls wear to English festivals, to Brighton Swimming Club, where Kevin photographs the swimmers both in and out of the water, all year round.

Kevin works commercially as a photographer for a range of different clients which have included the Commonwealth Games 2002, Dr Martens, Stomp and Imogin Heap. In October 2008 Kevin's first solo book "Hot Shots" was released in the UK, published by Rotovision. Chronicle will be releasing the book in the US in March 2009. It is an instructional book for everyday people and is intended to help sex up their photography without being too bogged down in technical jargon. He has also had his work published in 2 Lomo photographic books, one called “Spirit” and the other, “Don't Think Just Shoot.” His work has also featured in a range of publications including Russian Esquire, Sonntagszeitung, and the BBC news website. He has been a regular contributor to JPG magazine since its launch in 2005. In 2006 Kevin was on the panel of judges in new york for flickr.com's "Blink of the Eye" photo competition and judged again in 2008 for pixish.com's "The SXSW Gallery Show" competition.
