About Me

First off, Let me give Glory to God who, without Him bestowing these talents on me, I would not be able to create these works.

I am a part time professional sculptor, this is not a just an expensive hobby (although it is expensive), a portion of my income comes from the selling and promotion of my art. The rest comes from my work as a consultant and applications engineer. I joined MM in order to network with top quality people in the same industry and to find high caliber subjects for my works.

My primary subject matter is the human form. I am known for my current sculpture works with the fitness and bodybuilding industries.I currently create life sculptures, also called life castings, in which impressions are made directly from the model using a quick, comfortable, and harmless process and then transformed into different materials. The products that make contact with the skin are either alginate which is made from seaweed and skin safe silicone products. The ability of the alginate and the silicone to capture detail is amazing, fingerprints and skin texture can be duplicated in the life sculptures. Depending on the medium used, the process takes anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours. Which process to be used is discussed with each client. After the initial molding process is completed, I then take it and begin the creation of a one of a kind art piece using various media.

I have years experience in life casting and associated fields. I am currently researching new processes and new techniques to stay on top of the field. I have actually created a new process and written an article which was published in Sculpture Journal Magazine wherby you cannot distinguish the finished works from solid stone. If you have any desire to be immortalized for generations to come in a piece of sculpture, please contact me with your idea and I will explain the process and we can discuss it further at that time

While I do not normally do Time For Sculptures, "TFS" , but I always have projects in mind for which I am always on lookout for the right model to fulfill those projects. I know in my minds eye what the model would look like and when I see that, I know what the end result will be. It never hurts to ask if you are interested in modeling for sculpt.

My goal is to create pieces of ART that present the human form in a manner that enhances the beauty and the grace of the human body (NOT sleazy nor pornographic) . Also, I want my work to last and for that reason, most but NOT ALL of what I do are nude. Thinking about the pieces lasting for generations to come, the materials that we sculptors use can really last for hundreds or even thousands of years. What would it be like, If it were possible to see someone approach a piece a few hundred years from now and say, "Look, there is an Eaglewood Original and the model was_______!! There is a kind of immortality that is formed with sculpture both for the artist and the model.

In order to ease the mind of the model and to refrain from any legal complications, I ALWAYS have a female assistant present when working with another female. If the model is under the age of 18, I require also a legal parent or guardian to be present for the molding session. I require all models to sign a model release form prior to beginning any work.

I am willing to work with many different body styles of models, so dont be afraid to ask if you would work for the various projects I have ongoing, or if you want to commission me for a sculpt of yourself or a loved one.
We also love to work with you to capture your childrens faces and hands as keepsakes and momentos for loved ones or yourselves. These are invaluable possessions.

My studio is located in Imlay City close to the intersection of I69 and M53 between Port Huron and Lapeer.
I am am member in good standing of the Association of Lifecasters International (ALI). I also have my work at various galleries during different periods of the year.
Due to my schedule, It is crucial for you to contact me to make an appointment in order to make sure that we can meet and take the time we need to discuss your particular needs and projects..
You can reach me at 810-358-0209 pretty much anytime. If I am not available please leave a message. Yes, you will hear the Good the Bad and the Ugly playing, so you know its me!! you and also reach me here at MM or at [email protected]
