I'm a part-time professional photographer, photojournalist, and travel writer (among other professions) with 20+ years of photographic experience. I'm currently adding to my portfolio of people, focusing on environmental portraiture, head shots, artistic, lifestyle, fitness, Goth, editorial and other studio and location work.

I also love to shoot heavily tattooed bodies (men and women), as well as accomplished dancers (all styles) and tasteful pin-ups. I also love to shoot environmental portraits, especially if your environment is interesting (biker, chef, artist, ballerina, musician, drugstore cowboy, whatever...!! Just no clowns or mimes.

I'm a low pressure professional who tries to make any shoot fun, collaborative and relaxed. I shoot both in my studio and on location in the DC area. I prefer two-way communications with any model and if you have ideas, I'd love to hear them. After all....creativity is a two-way street.

I'm currently accepting paid shoots and open to TFCD projects or concepts that sound interesting as well as portfolio building shoots.

I also shoot female and male models that I think would be interesting as I continue to expand my portfolio of people. Feel free to contact me with ideas. First times models are also welcome, just ask. Everyone needs their first couple sets of portfolio images and I'm willing to help get people started in the business.

For everyone's protection, I encourage any model to bring a chaperone to the first shoot, as long as the person is respectful of the creative process and not intrusive.

Lastly, I have an info sheet which details some information about my TFCD (trade) shoots, so you know what to expect which I can send upon request, along with additional portfolio samples.

I am also looking for a local MUA to work with.
