About Me

After years as a graphic designer, about 6 years ago I switched to doing 3D illustrations. My clients include Nikon, AutoDesk, Cisco Systems, Oracle, Nike, Danner Boots, and Roxio Software.

In another life, I also worked as a fine artist, doing paintings in a very graphic style; somewhat reminiscent of Patrick Nagel. For the last couple of years, I've been thinking about applying my 3D illustration skills to the area of fine art, and creating erotic and sensual images of women in 3D, combining the decorative motifs of Alphonse Mucha (an art nouveau artist from the turn of the last century), classic pin-up poses of the '40s and '50s, along with contemporary styles of hair, make-up and costume.

This is a new direction for me, it's personal and very experimental at this point. Not really sure where it's going, but I expect to have a to of fun finding out.

I've posted a couple of images of old paintings, plus an illustration (the Tot Rod) that is very typical of the style I currently work in, as well as an early attempt at creating a woman's head in 3D.

I've yet to produce the first image in the new direction.

UPDATE

Well, the first image is coming along, but slow going. About half done, lot's left to do. I've got a bunch of other ideas I'd like to pursue, so, since this is my first piece and there have been a LOT of changes in direction, I may abandon it and move on to other ideas.
