About Me

The birth and concept of Street Mode - Twenty2 began as way of satisfying what I
felt was a void in fashion, a line that caters to the all 3 facets of fashion:
urban, casual, and high end ... with an emphasis on casual wear.

Street Mode - Twenty2 are two separate, yet distinct, lines that will
revolutionize 'urban' and 'high end' fashion. These lines will concentrate their
efforts on the men and women who have been waiting for clothing designed
specifically for the hard to fit. Most clothing companies design clothes that
fit the 'standard' sizes (32 waist for men, size 2 for women). However, we all
know that not everyone is the same size or shape. Street Mode - Twenty2 designs
their clothes to allow extra room in those special designated areas (i.e.:
thighs, seat, length and waist, etc) to allow a comfortable fit.

The first two lines are Street Mode. The meaning behind it is simple:

Street equates to the Struggle
Mode stands for Maintain or Die Easily
So once looked at together: Struggle to Maintain or Die Easily PERIOD

Now I'm sure just like for me the words struggle and die jump right off the page
at you and that needs to be explained and defined. After some serious soul
searching I decided that the struggle needs a begin date. That begin date
is 1865. For the uninformed, 1865 is the year slavery was abolished; the genesis
when all people of color began the STRUGGLE TO MAINTAIN. Now there are some very important events that took place in this year that absolutely need to be mentioned as a source of inspiration for the collection:

The abolishment of slavery;
Congress uses African Americans for the first time in the Civil war,
Abraham Lincoln is assassinated,
And the 13th Amendment is ratified, putting an end to slavery…

The Street Mode line will cater to urban wear and will consist of, but will not
be limited to, shirts, jeans, sweaters, fleece and velour suits, denim suits,
leather and suede products, footwear, hats, etc. specifically offered to the BIG and Tall man.

The second line of clothing is Twenty2, the concept behind it being: "Any two
things that are the same, is in a sense, a reflection of each other" (i.e.:
identical twins). So Twenty2 is a reflection of Street Mode in the lines of
clothing. This line will cater towards the casual and high end clothing and will
consist of slacks, button down shirts, golf shirts, suits, dresses, purses,
colognes, perfumes, sunglasses, watches and others.

Now the Twenty2 side of the line has a slight twist that needs to be introduced:
Casual Elegance = Twenty2 style

Most people don’t put as much effort into their casual wear and that’s where it
should matter because it’s where you interact with most people (that’s not
work). Twenty2 will offer a level of finesse to casual wear. It will appeal to
and cater to those who want to look and feel 'elegant' but not overdressed in
their day-to-day lives.

Women (especially the underrepresented ‘middle aged woman’) will go to the mall
and hate what their wearing pushing them to buy an outfit to walk around and
shop in! This isn’t even what she came to the mall for! Twenty2 is the solution.

Now after that somewhat long and very detailed description of the line if I were
asked to summarize it all in 50 words or less I would say simply this:

"Street M.O.D.E 22 is a fashionable reminder that the spirit of change and
revolution never dies... It just dresses better."
