About Me

*** Relocated to the Seattle area and have regular travel to Portland and to Oakland so I can shoot in the PNW/BAY AREA. *****

Instagram @jpacephoto + @createwithjpace shows most current work EASIEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH ME... send a DM or EMAIL to [email protected]

I think the only word that describes how I feel about photography, and really life is "fluid."
-"A continuous, amorphous substance whose molecules move freely past one another and that has the tendency to assume the shape of its container."

I am that continuous, amorphous substance and my container is the camera. I do not wish to be placed in a mold and neither should my photography. My photos move free past the genres that make up photography meeting somewhere in the middle and shooting out in all directions touching on them all Fine art, Fashion, commercial, editorial, event, documentary, travel. Life happens fast and in so many different ways, I happen to always have a camera on me so that I can catch life and slow it down for the rest of us.

I have my B.A in Fine Art Photography from the California College of Art. I have a studio space in the north part of Seattle, but also like to book locations, work on location and of course shooting outside is always a must.

I really shoot anything since I’ve been taking photos consciously since I was 13 and really unconsciously since I was 5 years old. Thanks to mom any vacation, school trip, or event I was given a disposable camera and she was the one who gave me my 1st real camera and it was 35film. During my art school days I began photographing everything from family portraits to weddings to food to events. As I love all aspects of photography and having a camera in my hand. I'm very creative and love being a part of something so if someone had an event, a wedding, engagement, a product, a portrait or just need a photographer I was always happy to be of service.

It didn't take very long though before I discovered that what I loved most and was really passionate within photography was shooting empowering images and working mainly with women. Thats when I fell in love with boudoir and fine art photography. It all began when a friend of mine asked if I would photograph sexy photos of her for her then boyfriend at the time for Valentines day. The resulting images inspired my other friends to do the same thing, which prompted their friends to book sessions with me as well, and it took off from there.

I joined MM because I really enjoy people and what I can bring out of them or what they give me when photographing. I like to make them feel as comfortable as possible so that, we can make great photographs together.

****Since I do have a background in fine art I can say that I specialize in FILM photography I like 35mm and 120mm. I wish to be as creative and diverse as my photography hero Gordon Parks who got his start in fashion photography but managed to work for Vogue as well as Life magazined doing documentary.

SHOOTING FILM MAKES ME A HAPPY CAMPER, so I tend to shoot both digital and film.

"At first I wasn't sure that I had the talent, but I did know I had a fear of failure, and that fear compelled me to fight off anything that might abet it." -Gordon Parks.******

"Jennifer is a wonderful photographer and I have shot everything with her from boudoir, art nudes, to fetish. She always makes sure her models are comfortable (snacks and beverages provided, hello!) and it's always a collaborative environment. Her private studio, Indulgent Studios, is impeccably decorated with monthly themed sets, and a huge wardrobe and prop selection to choose from. Hands down, will work with again and again and will recommend to any model." Read less
