About Me

Victoria Meredythe was born on April 27, 1989. During her 24 years of life (thus far), she has embarked on many existential crises involving a dramatic shift in perception of self (and others) somehow concurrently facilitated through impact of trauma. At an early age, Victoria was called "Vicky" and she was a "Princess" - not in a "Little Princess" way wherein every girl is a Princess - more in the obnoxious way that fatigued her parents as she ran around the house yelling "I DEMAND RESPECT" at age 5. And thus, her boots began a-walkin'. As life would have it, you apparently have to repeatedly demand respect no matter where you go; that's an ongoing saga. Since then, Victoria has been a life long learner in how badly she can fuck things up while being simultaneously intensely neurotic (behold, a gift), ever-honing sensitivities and awareness of the social structures/biologies/families we depend on to shape us (or perhaps we don't). There are always plenty of books to read, tasks to accomplish, and goals to meet with fierce workaholism - if you let her think about them all at once, she'll have a panic attack; One of her life-long goals is to learn better self-care... in case you were wondering. It's incredibly important, as Audre Lorde would attest.

What has she been up to in the large gap between age 5 and now you ask? She went to high school (let's not talk about those years), college (or those), and is now in grad school (insert appropriate enthusiasm). Largely, Victoria endured a lot of the themes many other individuals live through - various forms of trauma, fleeting grief intermingled with equally sporadic happiness, failed relationships, romantic forays that could use psychoanalysis, and miscommunication coupled with really startling disappointing attempts at understanding life. There are a lot of things she still doesn't understand, a lot of her own privilege she has to challenge, and a lot of people she can grow from. As the website says, she is a "perfucktionist" and the byproducts of her life are just a lens for this haphazardly neurotic, empathetic and blundering attempt at piecing it all together.

Policies and Notes: Effective 1/18/14
+ Looking for TFP/TFCD models right now in order to expand my portfolio largely in the areas of beauty, boudoir, conceptual, lifestyle, and editorial shoots - also interested in working with MUAs and Hairstylists for certain shoots already planned. Will travel for shoots. Compensation is only provided for extremely experienced models, makeup artists, and hairstylists. If I don't feel like you fit one of my ideas for the above mentioned areas, I will likely pitch you a TF* test shoot in order to help me broaden certain skills of mine and/or to see if you might be a good match for me in a future shoot. This, however, does not mean I accept everyone asking me for a TF shoot - sorry.

+ Please note that even though the majority of my shoots are TF at this point,
I take them seriously. If we book a time to shoot, I expect you to be there - or, if you're not going to be there, to inform me at least by the morning of the shoot. I work a 40+ hr/wk job that requires me to be flexible and occasionally work nights and weekends on top of my regular M-F hours - which means if I put aside time for a shoot, I'm actively telling my employer/clients that I cannot assist them at that time. Although it is not always the case, I generally always have something else to do and my schedule is very important to me for this reason - so that I can plan accordingly to fit it all in. Please respect this. If we reschedule more than 2 times due to your own preferences or emergencies, I will ask for a $50 deposit for us to reschedule another time (the $50 deposit will be returned upon shoot completion). I'm understanding about life issues such as last minute emergencies, bad weather, illness, car complications, etc. - but, as stated above, please respect that I have my own life schedule as well and there's only so much I can rearranging I can justify. "Forgetting" is not excusable and considered an automatic cancellation on us working together indefinitely - as I said, please respect the schedule.

+ Please only contact me via email (victoria[dot]mosey[at]gmail[dot]com), MM messenger, or my FB fan page up until the day before/day of the shoot. I will provide you my cell phone number for you to contact me during that time period, but please do not contact me via my cell outside of that time period as I do check my MM and email very regularly.

+ If we are in conversation coordinating a shoot and you suddenly drop off and I send you a message that you don't respond to for over 1-2 weeks or neglect to the point that you haven't responded to it at least two nights before our planned shoot, I will consider our shoot cancelled. If you don't go on MM that much, which is totally reasonable, please contact me via a means that you DO go on frequently (such as email) so that you don't miss my messages.

+ Why all these policies for TF shoots? As mentioned, I already work a full-time job. This is extra on top of it. And I enjoy it, but I don't enjoy planning something that never comes to fruition. The work behind a TF shoot, on my end, can include any of the following, and then some: location scouting, purchasing equipment, purchasing/renting wardrobe/props/background, coordinating to find a MUA, developing concepts via pinterest, and setting aside a date/time for the shoot. If it's a TF shoot in my apartment (which doubles as a studio for these purposes), it also likely means I'm going to run around cleaning and arranging everything. Again, my time is very precious to me. Please value it.

+ For your time working with me in a TF shoot, you will get 8-15 photos to use for your own portfolio, frequently completed within 2-4 weeks, sometimes in even less time.
