Gaylynne Fell has been in the makeup industry for over 15 years. She originally per sued a career as a registered nurse and worked with Dr. Jaggi Rao at the University Dermatology Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta. A childhood love of anatomy and classic horror movies lead to a hobby in creating special effects with makeup. With a new obsession career change was in order.

Obtaining her training from Joe Blasco Professional Makeup Artist Training Center and Vancouver Film School she found work in the various aspects of the industry and in moving back to Edmonton opened her own private studio called The Makeup Art Space. She also created her own beauty makeup line Gaylynne Fell Artistry Collection which was a selfish endeavour to recreate the products and shades she loved that were "limited editions" and discontinued products and shades she loved.

The love of special effects makeup in Edmonton was tough to make a career of but in May of 2012 she was hired on at Cosmopolitan Makeup Artistry College as the FX instructor that soon lead to the position as Head Instructor.
