My grandmom's tiara from the Miss Universe pageant sat on the VCR player in my parents' bedroom. I wouldn't even want to touch it because I knew how much my grandmom did to earn that beautiful accessory. I always wanted to be like her and one day be Miss USA; at least Miss Pennsylvania. I would make my sisters and friends practice singing with me because I figured that would be my talent portion - I was not much of a singer, no matter how much practice and that is still the case today.

Though the Miss Universe dream continued, I developed a love for acting. I then did the same thing, made my 4 siblings and friends act whatever play or book or movie that I was currently enthralled in. I had hoped to become a child-star and move into modeling. I made an appearance as an orphan named Daisy in Annie and as a fox in The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe. My parents encouraged me to be athletic and didn't encourage any of my desires to be an actor, singer or model.

Today, I'm in charge of my life and after going through college (with a degree in Finance and 4 minors), I have realized I really need to follow what my dreams are and make them happen to be happy. I may not enter the Miss Universe competition as my grandmother, but I can still pursue a modeling and acting career. I am starting in small ways, but hope that I can one day travel with this career and have a great time - though I am aware that it will be a lot of hard work and perseverance, I am ready for this new chapter to begin.

The only experience I have modeling is in photoshoots with friends and for an ice company's ad poster that my mom, who is a graphic designer, made while I was in High School. I attended a dane school for over 10 years and was part of Junior Tamburitzans and a Junior Orchestra (I play the double bass) so I have stage experience.
