I am a full-time student at Wayne State University as an accounting major but my first love has always been fashion. Ever since I was a little girl my grandmother would always say that modeling would be the perfect career for me. I was always in my mothers heels, wearing her jewlery, and posing in everyones pictures (even if they weren't supposed to include me). My grandmothers words never left my mind. When I became older I began doing research on the different types of modeling I could do, how to pose and most importantly how to get started.

During my junior year in highschool I became pregnate. At that point I knew everything was over. This meant no college, no freedom and certainly no modeling career. Although I was nervous about becoming a parent, all of those things went out of the door the moment my baby boy came into the world. At that point nothing else mattered but him.

Now, my son is three years old and I feel like I have what it takes to be a great model. I feel that no matter what my hardships are as a single parent, I owe it to myself to pursue my dreams. I had my first audition in Feburary 2012 for a fashion show and ended up getting booked for 2 shows! Words can not describe how excited I was! After doing those shows photographers began contacting me for photoshoots so that I can get a portfolio put together. Although my portfolio isn't finished, I'm gaining more knowledge and experience and I believe that things can only get better from here for my son and I.

The reason why I decided to join Model Mayhem is simply because I want to gain more experience in runway modeling, editorial modeling and high fashion.
