My name is Juan Manuel Sanchez. I'm a photographer and video maker, currently living and working between Barcelona & Berlin.
My work basically explores reportage, portrait, fashion photography as well as video. I have experiences in different fields of photography and visual communication, where i apply my skills and knowledge and where, depending the requirement of each project, i invest all my endeavor and skills in order to achieve high standard results. 

I'm in the situation of being qualified in fashion photography but always seeking to increase my portfolio.

If you are thinking of getting yourself into fashion modeling and make some portfolio it would be cool to meet up and take some photos.

What I can offer you is an insight into my own experience in photography, a relatively relaxed atmosphere without time pressure and copies of the selected images in case you want to rustle around agencies and, hopefully, we´ll get something published.

Above some thoughts about my work:

Photography is vehicle of thinking, questioning and resolving visual communication requirement. Apparently photography works on the surface of the subject, the appearance. A photographic image is more than what apparently show us;
There will be always a part of the reality witch never will be revelated to us.

Through photography we can create a dialogue between the subject and the audience. According to that i do not photograph people, or objects, or places; my photography is about expressing the distance between me and the subject; to manifest the relationship existing between the subject and the audience.

Relations between individuals and collective, scopes of ordinary, obstacles and limits of communication and the nature of misunderstanding between human beings are the main themes usually presented through my whole work.

An interest in various forms of ambiguity, loss and emptiness underscore my work. Exploring the causality, using occultation and decontextualization, those none-existence of human being are revelated though the mundane and trivial.
