Raw, Wild and Instinctive,
Toums (as his friends call him)
has the eye of an animal and the
technique of a sociologist. Not an
observer but a true participant of what
he witnesses:
A disillusioned generation hiding their
fears and loneliness behind unending
parties, alternative culture, sex, poetry
and drugged nights.

“Madness rather than disenchantment”
is Toums’ motto.

As many photographers, he is still
working with films because
“ as humanity this is imperfect ,
irrational and complexe. Perhaps my
way to a certain liberty... ”
