NPC men’s physique competitor, Adam Gordon, began his journey to national level competition in late 2012. In his debut competition, the Brooklyn Grand Prix, Adam earned 3rd place, a strong showing marking his arrival to the rapidly-growing division. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Adam’s background included numerous elements favorable for success in athletics. He is the product of Hawaiian, Russian, Chinese and West Indian heritage rich in culture and tradition — which included many recreational activities that led to natural physique development, such as surfing, basketball, and martial arts. As a youngster, he practiced and competed in Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai Boxing and Kung Fu. At age 19, Adam began incorporating weight training into his regimen to further enhance his performance in these sports. However, it wasn’t until his fellow bodybuilding comrades introduced him to a new division called men’s physique that he realized his own potential within the fitness industry. It was at that point in which his competitive journey commenced.

Beyond fitness, Adam possesses great human qualities that sets him apart from most athletes. In an industry that can sometimes be very surface and superficial, Adam strives daily to maintain his center though daily meditation, positive thinking, and spiritual teachings. His positive attitude and outlook on life makes him the ideal role model.
