Me?  I'm a moody-ass poet and the self proclaimed Renaissance Dude, Alias Young Gordon.

I am an untrained hobbyist who truly appreciates the art of photography.  I am looking forward to expanding my portfolio with a dynamic range of subjects.  Since we live in a diverse world, I ultimately want my portfolio to be an accurate reflection of it.  I don't want to be limited in the styles or themes I shoot but I usually find myself so.  There are more cameras in my city than beautiful people to capture it seems so I have taken a recent interest in beautiful things.  I know, I know...still life won't get me any friends, views, tags or comments unless I wrap it in a thong.  They call this place Mayhem for a reason, right?  I do have another ModelMayhem portfolio that showcases all of the "I'm beautiful, dammit...somebody please look at me!" style shots I have taken thus far but I thought I would reserve this portfolio for those artistic editorials and creatively themed shots that fill my mind in tranquil times. 

I enjoy collaborating with creative people to achieve artistic outcomes.  I do some of my work from a home-studio but I love working with natural light -and natural people- outdoors whenever possible.

I may be a novice behind the lens but my skills are proven with ink pens.  I have been known to write words worth 1,000 pictures so I thought it only fitting to try it the other way around.  Photography seemed like a natural progression.  You may discover that my titles are more cleverly executed than my images but you know what...?

I don't care WHAT you think about my work... as long as you do think. 

Indifference is the absolute fucking worst! 

The majority of my work will either insult the pros or inspire the rookies and at the end of the day...I'm okay with that.  Photography doesn't feed my kids nor does it pay my bills so I am cool with TFCD sessions that produce compelling imagery that will mutually enhance our portfolios.  I shoot JPEG but you are assured a disk loaded with RAW images to do with as you please once our session is done.  I will not devote hours to Photoshop Surgery giving you clear, perfect skin, botox therapy, laser hair removal, tummy tucks, breast augmentations, thigh reductions, colored Lasik vision or any other extreme makeover.

Before you waste your time (or mine) critiquing me on how "The right filters, frames or plug-ins could really make these images POP!" think about how the formally untrained Gordon Parks shot his way out of obscurity by developing his innate ability to convey genuine human emotion in his timeless captures.  Give me pointers on lighting & composition and you've got a friend for life whether you add me to your top 12 or not.  I want to push the envelop and produce some provocative and intriguing social commentary through this medium.  Where are the threads about that???  I'm open to suggestions...
