Welcome to Ninja Barbie Photography!
As most of you know, I, Kina Tavarozi [aka Ninja Barbie] am an avid model. My love for modeling, and photos made sparking my photography trigger inevitable. I enjoy being both in front and behind the camera & on the side, and therefore I decided that I shouldn't hide my other passion from the MM community. Let's just say I'm a bit of a triple threat, I'm a MODEL, PHOTGRAPHER, & MAKE-UP ARTIST =]

I'm still very much an amateur, in fact most photographers would LAUGH at the camera I have.. [eek, not going to tell you!] but I think I make some pretty magical things come from such a little toy. I'd LOVE to learn from all the pro's so photographers please drop me a line and tell me what I could improve on, etc.

If you are interested in modeling for me, simply write me a comment or message. I'm looking to shoot all different sizes, shapes, styles, ethnicities. My work represents diversity and imagination.

Photoshoot Expectations:


RATES:

TF* [Trade for Photos] on a selective bases

I DO NOT send Cd’s of all of the photos I take of you.. if we are doing the shoot on a trade basis, (ie. you’re time/preparation for my time/prep) I will send you about 10-15 edited photos if we do 2 outfit changes. I typically send about 5 edited photos per outfit.

with TF* work I do charge a $10 editing fee.. thanks!

**It will take me anywhere between 2 days-2 weeks to get you all 15 [or so] of your pictures. I’m a busy woman.. eek!**

PAID WORK:

I charge $30/hr. my first hour and then $15 for every hour after that for my photography if you are not selected for Trade work. if you are wanting photos for a specific project [wedding, senior, portfolio] my base rate of $30 will apply. I will send you about 10 photos per set.. edited to perfection =]

HAIR, MAKE-UP:

I also provide hair and make-up application if you are wanting an all-around look. I will do hair, make-up, and photograph you [2 looks] to your specifications. I charge $20/hr. for makeup application and $10 for hair.

If you want the complete package of hair, make-up, and photos my fee is: $50 for the first hour and $15 per hour after that.

I also will do exclusive make-up application for an event [dance, ceremony, photo shoot] the fee for just make-up is: $20/per hour.

What to EXPECT at a shoot:

Although I’m an "amateur" photographer I try to keep my shoots as professional as I can. I shoot exclusively off natural light [no lights, flash, etc] so I may ask that our shoot take place at a certain time of day.

I’m VERY open to new ideas and concepts, don’t hesitate to shoot me an idea.. even if it’s considered a little "crazy".. I’m all about diversity and self-expression, and I will more than likely shoot it, just no hardcore porn please!

Also, if you are unsure of a "theme" you are wanting, shoot me a line.. I can help you create a really cool and unique look that will apply to your photographs.. I’ll work with you to get the look you desire.

Please bring a variety of outfits to your shoot.. anything that expresses yourself as an individual, or goes with the theme that we decide on. Please don’t just bring along a pair of jeans and a plain white tee.. textures, color, and accessories add a TON to your photos.. =]

I’m a very lighthearted person, i love to have FUN at these things.. getting photos of yourself should be an exciting experience.. If you wish to bring your best friend, significant other, parent, etc. that’s completely fine.. whatever will make you more comfortable in front of the camera =] Also, don’t worry if you’ve ’never modeled before’.. this is what it’s all about.. I’ll help you look your finest ;]
