I am a former professional photographer who still enjoys photographing people.  I am interested in portraiture purely for the enjoyment of creating an interesting or beautiful image.  I no longer accept professional commissions of any kind.

I like to photograph unusual people with good stories.

I generally work on shoots with my wife, and don't have any particular interest in shooting nudes or erotica (not that I don't respect the genres when done well... I just prefer to avoid the drama that often seems to go with shooting them).  I often work on black & white film and like to use vintage equipment.  I enjoy classic imagery, and am inspired by photographers ranging from Karsh to Seidner to Steichen to Avedon, and many in between.

I am interested in doing some limited TFP shooting with models who have unique or classic looks.
