I am a figurative painter. I paint mostly in a realist /expressionist vein. Generally I do semi-nudes and nudes, of women mostly but I paint men also. I almost always work from photographs. I am interested in all shapes and sizes of models, preferably not tattooed, unless your tattoos are exceptionally awesome, or exceptionally regrettable.
I like my models to be able to understand what it is to be an art model, and how this is different from other modelling work such as fashion photography. So generally models with an arts background of some sort are preferred. When I am working with a model I want them to be able to express ideas/emotions physically and visually, there should be an ability to portray drama with their bodies and facial expressions realistically.
