I agree with Roshar.

But he forgot to mention that you should change your name to start with an "R". That's how all the cool people roll wink

i was just bodypainted for the first time last weekend. (shot in my port.) and i thought it was incredible, i loved it!
BUT, i don't see myself doing it often or very much at all because my skin is still recovering a bit.
it's a long process to begin with and i had to cancel a shoot the next day because i was still tinted smile

Jeebus, that's crazy. Your bodypainter must have used some intense paint. The paint I use comes right off.

What about the correct preperation for skin prior to bodypainting? I have been bodypainted 3 times, with different degrees of difficulty in removal.

Did you use different materials or the same?

Often it can depend on the prep of the skin before hand.

A lake usually does not need to.

i am sure that is the problem I had with the latex paint...the first time I was airbrushed and the second time it was pigments painted onto a dried mud mask.

What the heck did they use! This is why we need to get the word out that models should be VERY WARY before being painted by someone who is not a professional MUA or bodypaint artist. Actually...that doesn't even help because I know some people who consider themselves professionals and still use acrylics.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

ANd the rest of us get the bad rep!

By the way, Roshar's links will give you TONS of info. Way more than anything I could find 15 years ago I assure you, when information on the net was a few guys/gals saying "I used acrylic and it went well, but cracked" or "Be sure to leave a stripe down her back so her skin can breathe"

I almost had one for Spike TV but it was cancelled at the last minute. They have a guy who is the regular for Playboy parties. His work is good, but I've heard different things from different models about working those gigs.

I've painted for Playboy TV before, one of their shows... what a FANTASTIC experience! Great crew, staff, actors - wonderful people. Can't say enough...

But, like any big corporate entity, completely different people than the mansion.

I have a Playboy mansion parties/bodypainting dvd (similar to a girl's gone wild dealy) that I scored for 3 bucks on Amazon. I thinks it's not so popular because it wasn't enough of a girls gone wild dealy, but more of a bunch of naked girls standing around getting painted.

There were maybe 10 or so girls getting painted. Each girl had at least three artists on them. So, I assume, if one guy is in charge, he must have a lot of artists working under him.

It's a good dvd to have (for three bucks at least). The body painting itself isn't that spectacular. but it's cool to see how these artists work, and see hef and the mansion and stuff.

I would LOVE to work at the mansion at least once in my life.

Sorry, it's all hearsay and gossip, so I won't go into details. Let's just say that some found it to be fun and others found the painting experience to be less pleasant.
