Kelsey, after only 3 shoots you chose a very talented photographer in Chris Keeling. His images of you are of a very high quality both artistically and technically. You are really beautiful too, that helps. Congratulations on your win! Visit Minnesota. Bring warm clothes.

I second that, and please let me know if you need a place to stay!
And thanks guys, but all the credit goes to Kelsey! That image was actually from her first shoot, she's a natural. And I know for a fact that Top Drawer Photographer TR Willmitch is sitting on a ton of great images of Kelsey, I can't wait to see them!
Congrats Kelsey and Chris those images are great. I don't know if this is where I am supposed to put a newbie that I shot but here are some shots of RunwayVillan MM#596627. Great guy to work with and strong with his posing. It was a fun (if brisk) morning out on the farm where we shot. Stop by and show him some love for getting up at 7 on a Saturday to meet me (and for climbing a tree).

Wow! This is amazing I have been without my computer for a few days now and when i got on today i saw that i'd won "newbie of the week"...i'm soooo thrilled! Thank you all so much!
This is such a great honer and i appreciate it so much!
Thanks again!
Anne Schaar who is already looking like a pro. I'm submitting her under the first two weeks relaxed rules. This was however a bona fide Model Mayhem contact.
When I saw Anne's portfolio I knew that I wanted to work with her. After a few e-mails I knew that I had to work with her. Beside loving her look, her communication told me that she is intelligent and witty. And she has not disappointed me on any front.
The weather surrounding our first shoot was enough to give anyone an excuse to cancel but she showed up. An hour and a half each way in good weather ...
So here's my newbie nomination for the week of 12 - 18 Jan 2008, the newbie who's rapidly becoming a seasoned pro:

Your submission qualifies under the "first 2 weeks relaxed rules" allowing LIST photographers to submit ANY newbie MM model you've worked with recently, and I'm pleased you were able to present Anne to us. You're work with this beautiful newbie is stunning.
Our target date is January 26th for returning to the original rule which states "to qualify for "NewBie of the WEEK" newbie models are required to have made contact with the presenting LIST photographer through The LIST. This gives us a way to gage how the program is working.
Thanks and good luck to Tom and to all who enter~!!

...excellent idea and forum!
I'll be checking on the newbies from time-to-time as I have woked with great talent here on MM.
And, congradulations to Kelsey, both for her Newbie recognition and her choices of photographers to date - including the beautiful photograph taken by Chris.

Your images must be posted here NewBie Model of the WEEK to qualify for competition and must be in compliance with the definition of "NewBie model" as stated in the OP of the thread.
I had the pleasure to work with the new model Elle (527235). This was her first photo shoot. She has a great attitude, is fun to work with, and learns fast. Her eyes will pull you right in.

Jenay came to me interested in becoming a professional photographer and this remains her ultimate goal. However I encouraged Jenay to step in front of the camera and, in so doing, Jenâs discovered how beautiful she is.
Jenay has been at Model Mayhem for some time now and loves modeling. However she comes from a family with extremely limited resources; Jen working long hours to help support the family, although sheâs a full-time high school student.
As a result Jenay has had few opportunities to model with anyone but me and thatâs not often. As I said, youâll find no one with more heart than Jenay â and I believe that it shows in her images here and in her wonderful Model Mayhem portfolio.
My entry this week is 17 year old MandaG. I shot Amanda with her mom's assistance for the purpose of submitting her to "The Pyrates Way" magazine for the Winter 2007/2008 issue and was happy to inform her that she was selected as a "Quarterly Wench" for same issue which will be out any day now. This will be Amanda's first time in magazine print and I believe it's just the first of many to come. She is very attentive and easy to direct, showing a lot of natural ability. A wee-bit shy and a lot beautiful, it is my pleasure to enter Amanda in this week's contest.
