lighting companies that offer cables?
i'm editing my original post, i'm looking for lighting companies that offer remote control of power output for mono lights. i'm also not interested in hearing about the quality of the different lights, i know the arguments...... i'm looking to turn the power up and down, not to trigger my lights, i have pocket wizards for that Apr 09 08 10:00 am Link Cables are simple enough that many third-party suppliers sell them, and can even be home vrewed in many cases. Apr 09 08 10:11 am Link Paramount Cords makes them to order, but as of this morning, their web site was down. Apr 09 08 11:18 am Link Speedotron Force monolights can be controlled by a wired Palm device. Photogenic's digital monolights can be remote controlled with their wired or IR wireless remote. Alien Bee and White Lightning can be remote controlled with their LG4X wired remote. Some Elinchrom units can be remote controlled with their wireless Skyport. Broncolor makes IR and radio remotes; I know their wireless RFS can be used with some of their monolights. Apr 09 08 01:04 pm Link Hensel has a wireless trigger/power adjuster, in 1/10th stops. Stephen Eastwood http://wwwStephenEastwood.com Apr 09 08 01:09 pm Link thank you Kevin and Stephen Apr 09 08 05:51 pm Link Do you have RX series monolights ?? They can be fully remote controlled by the skyport trigger system. A computer interface lets you set power levels. youtube demo of the system http://www.bogenimaging.us/Jahia/site/b … arket=MKT1 Apr 09 08 08:10 pm Link i'm going to re edit my post.......i'm actually looking for companies that DO NOT have cables....i want to do it by remote control, like the hensel system..... i do a lot of sidewalk shooting in a busy downtown area and cannot have cables running on the ground....... something with a remote control..... thanks m Apr 09 08 08:14 pm Link mary duprie wrote: Sounds like you'd be better off with radio controlled speedlights. I use my Canon 580 series II that way - excellent results - and no cables. Apr 09 08 08:20 pm Link The Skyport is a wireless radio controlled system. http://www.aifo.se/elinchrom/pdf/Skyport.pdf Apr 09 08 08:25 pm Link Digital Studio G wrote: looking for something more high end.......tried the speed lites, i've out grown them.... Apr 09 08 08:28 pm Link White lightening /Alien bees will be introducing their new wireless controller in either may or this summer i believe. This is to replace the previous model they took off the market. I believe Hensel does too. Apr 09 08 10:09 pm Link rp_photo wrote: your not understanding my question......i already own 4 pocket wizard plus.... Good place to check is the compatibility chart for the Tronix Explorer (the 1200 uses a 150W inverter, same output as the original Vagabond) - Apr 09 08 11:05 pm Link |
