It is with deep sadness and sorrow that I am posting this.
Photographer Scott Catania Passed away due to complications from Heart failure Yesterday 4/30/08, He was 33 years old and such a talented photographer. He truely was an up and coming rising star on his way to making it big as a Commercial Photographer.
Scott was the Studio Manager of large 10,000 square foot, full service Commercial photo studio here on Long Island, running the day to day operations of the studio and shooting hundreds of images a week for catalogs on the web and in print, shooting custom assignments, corporate work, Fashion, portraiture & editorial content. He did all this with creativity, proficiency and accuracy
Scott was larger than life, yes he was 6 foot 9, but aside from that when he entered a room you knew it.
He was known to everyone as the high school and college basketball star but that was just a small piece of him. He was really funny, compassionate and so creative. He was the type of person who would go out of his way for a complete stranger, he was such an awesome, talented, kick ass cool guy and he will be truly missed by all that knew him, But personally to me Scott was not Only A good Friend and colleague, but he was also my Bro!
Journey well my brother you will never be forgotten ! !
May God bless him and keep him in his army of angels and today is national prayer day lets bow our heads in remembrance of a wonderful photog...we will miss you sweety..
I can't believe this has happened. There is nothing but good I can say about Scott. I looked up to him literally, as a great photographer, amazing co-worker, and overall wonderful person. Scott was caring, understanding, funny, and very helpful when I needed a model or had a question about photography. His sense of humor and his charismatic attitude toward life brought joy to everyone around him. I will miss him dearly and I'm am most certain anyone who was lucky enough to have known him will feel the same way. May you rest in peace, you will always me in our hearts, and you can never be forgotten.
That is a huge, loss of a great human being. You could know Scott 5 minutes and feel like you knew him a life time. Really super person, I am glad I got to work with Scott. The only thing to match Scotts goodness was his size!!
Rest in peace Scott may we all remember Scott always!!
