On location rig Ideas?
I'm working on a Portable rig for taking eq on location. Anyone have any cool ideas they have built or seen for packing gear and rolling into a location to do a shoot? I searched the forum with no luck but one time I did see a post with some home built carts for hauling gear. I have vagabonds strobes etc. and looking for some cool ideas for building a solution to this. Maybe he will pop in. Jun 01 08 02:57 pm Link Yeah, my suv works to get to location as well. Then after getting on location and need to hike a bit to shooting area it really gets old making trips back to the truck to get gear. I can carry a VII, two strobe setups with stands and a couple different mods, and a few other things. As long as it's balanced, the worst part about it is putting it on. I then carry my camera bag in my hand. External frame is better since it's easier to lash things onto the bars, like light stands and large reflectors. I'll take the desert dry heat over the pea soup for air that I have to trudge through in the summer! Try climbing up one of those mountains in 90 deg heat with 95% humidity. I don't know which is heavier sometimes, my pack, or my sweat waterlogged clothes... Jun 01 08 03:51 pm Link |
