I ordered the newly designed AB CyberSync flash trigger and two receivers and they arrived today.  The trigger and two receivers cost $200, as much as 1 Pocket Wizard, plus they have 15 different channels on which to operate.  The trigger is powered by a standard CR2450 battery that lasts a year.  They fired from more than 70 feet through concrete block walls.  So far I am impressed, plus the trigger is only about 2" tall, much smaller than the PW, not to mention there is a huge price difference between the AB units and the PW units.  So if you were thinking of ordering these...do it, so far I believe it was a great choice.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to buy another receiver a month back, and they weren't selling them. I had to wait until the new ones came out.

Glad they seem to be workin for ya big_smile

I wonder if the old receivers/transmitters can work together with the new system

No, they won't.  This is a totally new system, and is far and away the best ever developed.

NO.  BUT each box contained a certificate for $40 if you return your old unit to them.  How sweet is that.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for some Elinchrom remotes since a friend uses them and they are reliable... but stuff made especially for my lights is better :-)
And I love my AB's!!!

I am contemplating usiing these for my 2 AB800s and simultaneously using PW's for additional non-AB lights if needed.

A PW would be connected to one of the AB receivers to trigger additional lights attached to PW's.
