What: The Detroit Erotic Arts Collaborative (DEAC) is a unique closed event dedicated solely to the creation of fine art erotic photography. This includes, but is not limited to, nudes, fetish and bondage. The format is of the pre-scheduled trade variety in one hour intervals predetermined by the models and photographers prior to the event. DEAC is also the
only erotic art shoot that includes a large exotic Fetish Ball afterparty!
Who: Photographers and models 18+, from amateur to professional, are welcome, but only those screened for professional integrity will be allowed. This is not to be elitist, but due to the erotic nature of the DEAC, it is to ensure security within a professional and productive event. Makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers and fetish toy makers are also welcome.
Where: The new main location on Saturday will be the Clutch Cargos nightclub (
www.clutchcargos.com) in Pontiac, MI. Formerly a church, there is a variety of beautifully decorated areas for a diversity of shooting possibilities (see link below). Unfortunately, due to Oakland County liquor laws, nudity is not allowed around alcohol so "at least" pasties and a g-string are worn (remember that g-string straps can be photoshopped out and electrical tape, metal discs, rope, etc also cover nipples).
On Sunday, the available shooting venue will be the Museum Of New Art (MONA -
www.detroitmona.com) for all shooting styles including full art nudes.

We deeply sorry for this change in venue and added restrictions, but they could not be helped. We promise that this will all be taken care of for DEAC 2 in November and all will be much more organized.
When: There will be two days available for shooting...Saturday August 2 from noon to 8pm and Sunday August 3 from noon to 6pm. You can shoot as little or as much as you desire and check-in begins at 11am on both days.
Model/MUA/Stylist Fees: Saturday is
$25 pre-pay ($30 at the door) which also includes one admission ticket to the XBall Erotic Fetish Ball afterwards from 9pm to 4am+ (while tickets last). Sunday is
$10 pre-pay ($15 door) and both days are discounted at
$35 pre-pay ($40 door). MUA/stylists kit fees are allowed.
Photographer Fees: Saturday is
$35 pre-pay ($40 at the door) which also includes one admission ticket to the XBall Erotic Fetish Ball afterwards from 9pm to 4am+ (while tickets last). Sunday is
$15 pre-pay ($20 door) and both days are discounted at
$40 pre-pay ($50 door).
If you participated at any previous DEAC event, then your admission fees will be exactly the same as last time if you pre-pay ($25 Sat/10 Sun/30 Both). This is our way of saying "thank you for making DEAC a creative success! (This discount will also apply to new participants for the follow DEAC event)
Assistant/Escort Fees: One working assistant or escort is welcome for $5 at the door each day, but will have to purchase their own XBall ticket on Saturday.
Security: Floor monitors will be at hand to ensure the overall peace and to keep the public away from your creativity. They will also periodically walk all the areas for to be of any assistance if needed.
Signup: Simply
post here your available days (Sat, Sun or Both), general preferences (Artistic Nudes, Partial Nudes, Implied Nudes, Bondage, Fetish Fashion, All) and portfolio link (Modem Mayhem, OMP, MySpace, etc). For example: "Count me in to model on both days for all styles!" or "I'll be shooting art nudes on Saturday only". Upon review, your name and portfolio link will be added to the list below. You may then add the following to your modeling profile (edit to suit your schedule):

You may now contact any person on the list below privately that you are interested in working with. Simply ask "do you have any openings at DEAC on Sunday?" or something similar. If a person you wish to work with is not on this list, feel free to contact them and send a link to this forum to see if their interested in participating.
Once you start coordinating schedules, add their name to your list.
New members are added daily so check back to the list often to see who is now available. You can also periodically (that means every couple days, not hourly) post your open dates in the forum.
Remember, you are all responsible for setting up your own schedules.
One week prior to the DEAC, you will be emailed a link to the official DEAC Information Packet which will include further instructions, forms, maps and other items to help make your experience as productive and enjoyable as possible.
Cancellations/No-Shows: As typical to these events, there will always be some cancellations or no-shows. To assist in keeping your creative flow active, there will be an area where photographers and models can list their open time slots to find one another to create art. However, if
you feel that you cannot make the event, please be courteous to the others you have scheduled with and contact them as soon as possible. Your attendance is important to them and advance notice will help them fill their empty slots quick.
Simply not showing up without warning will result in banishment of all future DEAC events and your name will be passed to other group shoot coordinators!
Rooms: There are limited hotel rooms available at the luxurious Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac at special discounted rates of $99 for king or double with internet access, AC, an indoor pool, fitness center, a safe in each room for your goodies and other nice additions. Limited concierge suites and adjoining room are available on request only for the same price. It is clean, in a safe area with included secure parking and many participants are scheduling shoots in their rooms before and after the official DEAC times.

DEAC History: On April 26 and 27 2008, 50 models and 48 photographers of all experiences and styles convened upon the first DEAC from as far as Florida and Texas to create fine erotic art amidst the ambiance of the
Exotica Erotic Expo where special guests were present like Lithium Picnic, Emily Marylin and many others. Out of all the signups, there were very few no-shows! Saturday night shooting ended in a festive bang with the Erotic Masquerade Ball in City Club with various fire/burlesque/freakshow/exotic stage performances and dancing until 5am. Overall, the wonderful diversity of art from all who participated can be seen here:
