I have a Q.... I usually only vote in the digital artist category or POTD so I've never seen this "vote stacking" as an issue. So what if your friends do recognize your photo and vote for you... or perhaps your friends really do like your work? It seems a bit unfair to just assume that none of your friends would actually like your work, right? And please, I hope no one takes this the wrong way, its a bit scary posting an opposing opinion on forums because some people are just right out mean on these things.... but I do feel as if its a fair question. I can take the question on stacking. It's not really about the friends in your friend list that creates the impression of stacking, it's when you invite them to help you win this 'easy' contest on MM. We check your social media, your worked with, your 'friends' tags, all the usual suspects- kinda like predator drones hovering over the contests. We don't have to tell you we're there, but if it looks like stacking, it probably is. So to keep it as fair as we can, we'll DQ what appears to all and sundry what is an attempt to 'game' the system.
It's about the Images, if your friend regularly posts to the contests or votes there we know who they are, and if they voted for you it's becuz' they like that image. And, we'll allow that vote. But when they never voted before and are a bunch of 1st time posters, they'll get what the duck gets. Kapische? Also, a bunch of first time voters from Moldavia voting for Dr. Doom, it's a DQ.
Vote for the best image that you like, we'll do the sorting. Bring it. It's about the images, so don't hesitate to go out and shoot something. We want to see it.
