My Friend Ray Tudino and I would love to host the next New England Meet and Greet at Ray's new photography studio in Lincoln RI (about 5 miles from Downtown Providence). Blue Line Studios is 2200 Sq Ft and we have an additional 2500Sq Ft area available to use, Also there is a large changing / Hair / Makeup room. Located in an old mill complex there are additional opportunities to shoot outdoors. It is located 5 miles from Downtown Providence in Lincoln RI. We're proposing a Meet and Greet/shootout event similar to the ones held in Massachusetts and Manchester NH, Potluck for food and beverages running from 1pm to 7pm (more or less) on Saturday September 27th.

I picked Saturday the 27th because after the Meet and Greet anyone who wants to enjoy WaterFire Providence®, the award-winning sculpture by Barnaby Evans located in Providence, It will be fully lit with 100 bonfires offering us a unique nighttime photographic opportunity. NEW for those that have RSVPd...

In addition to the Studio there is a waterfall and beach a short distance from the studio that we can shoot at and there is Lincoln Woods State Park right down the street.{"Current  Entrance Fees:  As of July 1, 1998 there will no longer be entrance fees charged at Rhode Island State Parks"}

There will be two 600 Sq Ft fully equipped studio areas with Strobes, soft boxes, umbrellas, wireless syncs, motorized backdrops, tripods; One of the studios will be set up as a Hi Key location; Also one or I think that there will be two couch areas with tables and other props (may or may not have strobes not sure yet), Several brightly colored walls (gold and Red), an open room that is 2500 Sq ft, They may have backdrops on portable stands, Also there will be Hallways, Stairs, I'm pretty sure that the basement area will be available, a pond near the door and loading dock, The outside of the building has areas that we can shoot around, then there are a waterfall and beach a short distance from the studio that we can shoot at and Lincoln Woods State Park is right down the street, it has a covered bridge, rock formations, large boulders, lakes, and more.

Andover Studios is bringing a Studio Lighting set with soft boxes, umbrellas, and wireless syncs. And I will probably have a lighting set or two.

So in all we will have 5 - 6 shooting areas in the studios and back room areas.

There may be additional available areas in the mill complex.


Things we will need help with.

1. Carpool and shared ride arrangements especially from the Boston Area
2. Word of mouth advertisement, please link to this posting from your profiles
3. Strobe lights, we have four sets but could use a couple more.
4. Wireless Syncs
5. Beverages
6. Pot Luck Food

Reminder:

Folks should bring cards with their Model Mayhem numbers to hand to each other when they shoot.


A few simple rules:

You must RSVP in this thread and tell us how many people you are bringing. Please RSVP early because space will be limited.

No alcoholic beverages or recreational pharmaceuticals (they are illegal you know?) are allowed at the studio.

Photographers:

1. One lens pointed at a model at a time and only with permission.
2. If you want to work with a model, ask them and wait your turn until they are done with the shoot they are doing. - Trust me, you will like the results MUCH better.

And Models:

No drama.

Meagan, I'm glad that you can make it!

There are Two things that you can do/bring. You can PM any photographer that is coming and you'd like to shoot with and make plans individually. (I'd like to shoot with you and I'll send you a PM and give you some ideas that I'd like to shoot.)

Second/ Bring any clothing that you'd like in any images that you're looking to shoot and while you are at the Meet and Greet see who would like to shoot with you.

Along with clothing you will want to bring some makeup and what you'd need to do your hair. I'm hoping that we can have a makeup person. 

Also it would be nice if everyone brings some kind of food / snack / or desert.

Waterfire is about 100 bonfires that are set burning on the river in downtown Providence, there are walkways along the river and different events each night. There are many areas that you can shoot images and I've seen many professional photographers with tripods and flashes shooting there. There are also man y places that we can shoot at near the fires.

Sure I've added Derrick to the list.

If you know any models, we need more models!!!!
