if you don't want to hire a makeup artist, go to youtube... i'm sure you'll find some sort of inspiration there.

Fo sho, but also, look at real peacocks (again, google images) and let your mind just GO....if you look at makeup that's already been done with that inspiration, then you may just end up settling for the best one you see, but if you check out peacocks themselves, get some ideas, THEN see what's been done, it opens and expands your mind...I love organic inspiration...

I have (tried) to simulate a peacock feather with make-up

You can view my attempt at www.myspace.com/heyitsmariasportfolio

I came out O.K. nothing I would rave about.

I think an MUA is the way to go when the makeup calls for anything detailed. Anything more the simple things.

I did this last year , it wasn't inspired by a peacock but i did use the plumes from a peacock feather to create the lashes,

There's one in my portfolio. Bottom row.

I'm a little bit obsessed w/peacocks...I have a life sized feather tattooed on my back, and a huge peacock and cherry blossoms on my entire thigh.

Hi,
There is one in my portfolio. Makeup as credited. The mask and corset were built using feathers from UK - http://www.ostrichesonline.co.uk/ they also  have a US site at http://www.ostrich.com/ just bought a pack of eyes and Tania sewed them onto a corset. Mask was bought and then further feathers added.

Hope this helps

John
