I'm coming back a week early so this thread will not be forgotten! Whoo Hoo! With that being said.....

Todays Concept:  SURPRISE!!
Tuesday October 21: HARVEST
Wednesday October 22: MUSIC

Post any image that conveys the idea of a SURPRISE. It can be a birthday party/gift, surprised expression, or anything you can relate to a surprise.

From now on Concepts will not be announced in advance. I will spring it on you on the day of the contest. I may not do one every day but I'll try to have someone fill in. Rachel Jay, AB Young, and Blue Ash Film will be helping me from time to time. Thanks to them in advance!

VOTING will be extended to 6:00 am CST the morning after a Concept is announced.

I just had to post a quick note. I realize this is your contest and obviously you can have whatever rules you'd like, but I think it's a mistake to wait to announce what the themes will be. You don't usually start this thread until I'm already at work. I don't have access to my entire archive here, so that means unless you pick something that I might happen to have on my Myspace page or website, I'll be unable to enter. I have to imagine I'm not the only person with this problem. I would think a lot of people on this site would be equally unable to look through all of their images to see if they have something suitable once at their "day job".
If I know a day or two beforehand, I can make sure to upload something appropriate so it will be ready.
     Just my 2 cents.

I gotta agree with that. I dont normally post before I head to work and get settled in. So unless I have it on one of my sites, I cant enter. When you used to post a week out, I would email the appropriate pic for the day as a reminder to myself to enter at work, with the pic in my email box ready to go.

Good point, Joe. Contest participation is important and part of what makes a thread like this successful. The more the merrier. I'll give this more thought.
