I fixed my Epson printer today:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A6FT4NlCUAA4lzN.jpg

iPhone pic, while I was still swearing and all sorts of pissed off. It was only slightly therapeutic. I have a couple of other things that irritate me yet to fix. Then, I will be happy once more.

This will prolly be the only thing I throw down the stairs though.

Yes it did. I just needed to rid myself of a source of aggravation. Next up is me taking care of 50 things that I have been letting slide. I have so much unfinished stuff I need to take care of it isn't funny.

Yea, definitely cringe worthy. If you just focus on the rack, it isn't so bad. It's better than my high iso iPhone shots!

I priced one out for myself a while back. What I saw for the one I wanted was 5 car payments... 1.5 months rent.

man has it been slow around here. yeesh.

i've considered a hassy on and off for a while...but it's not in the budget these days. plus, i'm less interested in manual focus without an aid of some sort (not sure if they have a split screen).

i need to shoot something. hell if i know what. but it needs to happen. i'm feeling like something involving fairly close photos of faces. beauty type stuff perhaps.*shrug*

andrew...if you're about...i have another one of the big white death fixtures for you to launch onto I-15. tongue big_smile

movember bitches!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/violadeity/hdpTEST1sm.jpg

calumet 4x5, nikon 210/5.6, harman direct positive paper, incredibly shitty strobe the school has w/ what couldn't be more than a 12" softbox. lol

it's terrifying how much detail the paper holds as a direct positive (flawless sharp eyelashes). i can only imagine what a proper negative could do.

Any Friday or even Saturday night is good. Believe or not, I haven't drank anything in a month.

I like PT's Happy Hour.

I don't know if this helps but I have the 85mm f/1.8 D. Did you need it for something?

i'm trying to see what difference exists between the D and G versions of the 1.4. it would be nice to sock away a little cash, but i'd want to sacrifice as little as possible in doing so. the 1.4G is basically perfect, but also expensive...so trading "down" to the D version i'd be able to put $700 or so into the coffers.

only reason i'd even consider it is that melissa rodwell loves her 85/1.4D so much, and i love money nearly as much as that. lol

I will be in Las Vegas next weekend on the 7th, 8th, and 9th at a wrap around suite at the Cosmopolitan I'd like to shoot in. I've posted a travel notice and haven't gotten many replies so I thought I'd give a heads up here.

Huggers,

Kris

Hi Kris.

You'll find Vegas is a black hole for traveling models. Hope you have fun, and the room is gorgeous (stayed in it on my wedding night before heading out of town)

Wanted the old photo, distressed look with this model, so I did it the old fashion way...

http://www.daplv.com/MM/4x5_050.jpg

4x5 film, 80 year old camera, 3 mins over in the development, added cat litter to the stop bath, under fixed by 5 min, dropped the neg a few times, dried it off with paper towels.  BAM! smile

You use a good rapid fixer, I don't, I use cheap powered crap. I also use salad dressing for stop bath because I'm poor. tongue

lmao. powdered crap is an interesting choice...i had no idea it could be used as a fixer.

we use arista universal liquid fixer. it does its job though. no complaints.

as for stop...i use tap water tongue

Hi everyone,

I saw a link to this group when I was searching locations & rental studios in Las Vegas.  I'll be in town in a couple weeks & have a model to shoot for a couple hours.  I'm looking for suggestions for locations - it would just be a mix of fitness & casual.  I'd appreciate any suggestions.  I'm open to indoor or outdoor locations.

Thanks

John

For studios there's R2K and Vegas Vision.  For outdoors there are plenty of mountains and dry lake beds that might be nice but it's a bit chilly so I don't know if you could do fitness stuff since that's generally light on clothing.

R2K has been out of business for quite awhile.
It's now a fitness gym.
