The problem you will find is that if you are referring to the MB-D80 which is Nikon's battery grip for the D80, then it has a Retail New price of $150.

A Nikkor 50mm 1.8 runs $130.  So there are not many lenses that people would be willing to trade a lens valued at more than $150.00 for a battery grip.
